About Global Art Lab (formerly VisArt)

Global Art Lab responds to current artistic and cultural issues in Russia and Central Asia through collaborations, exchanges, performances, professional development workshops, and short-term residencies. Since 1998, the Global Art Lab, previously known as VisArt,  has brought more than 300 US artists, curators, performers and managers to cities throughout Russia and Central Asia to collaborate with local artists and arts specialists. These projects have generated large audiences, ongoing alliances and excellent critical attention.

Global Art Lab projects focus on visual art, contemporary music and professional development for young arts leaders.
