JUBILEE FELLOWS PROGRAM (2003-2006)

Now replaced with our Arts Leadership Fellows Program, the Jubilee Fellowship Program offered residencies at U.S. arts organizations for rising young arts managers from all parts of Russia. Using its resources in the U.S. arts community nationwide, CEC ArtsLink matched Russian arts managers with appropriate host institutions that allow each Fellow to explore new ways of working in his or her field.

Jubilee Fellows was launched by CEC ArtsLink's Trustees in honor of St. Petersburg's tercentenary in 2003, and funding was provided by the Trust for Mutual Understanding, the Howard Gilman Foundation, the Samuel H. Kress Foundation, and others.

Our Jubilee Fellows represented a variety of arts and cultural institutions from cities throughout Russia including Nizhny Novgorod, Volgograd, Petrozavodsk, Krasnoyarsk, Perm, Arkhangelsk, St. Petersburg and Moscow. Host institutions included the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and Columbia University. For more information on past Jubilee Fellows and their U.S. Host Institutions, see the link below.

Jubilee Fellowships were designed as an incentive for young Russian professionals to sustain careers in cultural management, which is essential for the preservation and strengthening of Russia's rich heritage in the arts.

While the core of the fellowship was comprised of a residency at a U.S. arts organization, each Fellow also particpated in orientation and debriefing in New York City. As with all of our programs, CEC's Jubilee Fellowships residencies were specifically tailored to each Fellow's interests and professional activities.
